NAME BC Pro-D Workshop 2012, Centennial Beach

Enjoy an afternoon in Tsawwassen exploring the intertidal sandflats at Centennial Beach, Boundary Bay Regional Park (BBRP). The low spring tides (1.3 m) will provide us with two habitats to investigate: eelgrass beds and sandflats. We will start exploring from the water’s edge and keep ahead of the incoming tide while we discover the many organisms that live amongst the eelgrass and on or near the surface of the sandflats. You will be surprised at what we find (e.g., clams, snails, worms, crab, shrimp, etc)!
